Awareness & Advocacy

Advocacy and raising awareness are an ongoing process and part of all POP’s work in the community. More specifically POP held awareness training with the Ha Seleso Primary School and Abia High School teachers as part of the British High Commission project in 2023. This involved a two-hour brainstorming session on inclusive education with teachers who were divided into groups to discuss topics which were then fed back and discussed by the whole group. 

At the end of November on the last day of school in 2023 POP marched with students and teachers from both schools on disability awareness day through the local area and then went back to the school with invited guests for celebrations and story sharing.
